EDUCATION PART 1
The life of an artist can be seen in different ways, some may say that it is hard for all the job that implies to succeed in this area. Some may say it is easy for all the things they don't see.
There are many points of view but this blog will show you my experience in Bolivia.
Let's begging for the education:
Sadly in almost every school it doesn't exist a program that always art to glow. We only have one subject called "Educación musical" or Music in English where most of the teachers don't give you the proper education and what about the other arts? They reduce to a small play at the end of the year if you have a teacher who ask for it.
I remember my first years of these classes at elementary school, we knew nothing and the teacher was so lazy that when it was about time to leave he made us blew our flute so loud and only the ones "he heard" were going to leave the class. Do you realize? Poor flutes, poor kids, poor ears! Now I think about that again and see how crazy and stupid that was.
Besides that my first years on elementary school I had no more education speaking of arts.
I've been in three different schools but here in Bolivia things are different, we can spend the elementary, middle and high school in the same school. We don't have that division that for example the USA has.
So being in three different schools made me see the differences in arts in each one. My first school awful, my middle school was more decent at least I learned about basic music theory which really helped me in the future and the third one was the best because they let us pick between a regular music class or you could learn to play an instrument and OF COURSE we had to pay extra. What about the other arts? We had a class called "Artes Plásticas" it was kind of an art class where well creativity wasn't really shown there. What about acting? Nothing! No special class for it just some plays depending of the teachers in charge.
